Love the Idea Academy

Trust and Safety – General

Thousands of minutes of information are consumed every day on Love the Geek. Partners who are passionate about teaching and students who are committed to learning make this feasible. Love the Geek was established on basic ideals focusing on knowledge exchange. We’re dedicated to enabling ordinary, real-world professionals to deliver an incredible learning experience for a worldwide community of students.

It is up to all of us at Love the Geek, including partners, students, and the Love the Geek staff, to live up to these principles. We continue to establish a vibrant, sustainable marketplace where anybody can genuinely learn anything online — and have a great time doing it — when we embody these principles.

Who are the people who make up our community?

Students — Our students come to Love the Geek for an engaging learning experience where they can learn about a wide range of topics from real-world professionals who have put their knowledge into practice.

Partners— Our partners are a dynamic group that genuinely enjoys teaching. They come to Love the Geek for the chance to reach millions of students across the world, as well as access to the tools, platform, and mentoring they need to produce high-quality training materials.

What are the ground rules?

1. Avoid spamming.

Students come to Udemy to learn in a safe and interesting environment, and instructors teach because they like sharing their expertise. Instructors: When you’re on the Udemy platform, don’t forget to check out the other courses available.

2. Don’t try to cheat the system

For Instructors, don’t steer Love the Geek students away from the platform, test the boundaries of what is and isn’t allowed, or look for policy loopholes. We, like any other partners, want our student community to flourish. When you cheat the system, the entire community misses out on having a shared pool of motivated students.

Students should not bother instructors, nor should they ask for free coupons or provide reviews in return for goods. To determine which courses are suitable for them, the community relies on healthy interaction between students and teachers, as well as honest student evaluation.

3. Maintain a professional tone.

Throughout the course, our instructors actively engage and communicate with one another, and students and instructors enjoy healthy and lively dialogues. We ask that you treat students, Instructors, and Love the Geek staff with respect, honesty, and consideration in these relationships.
Make a good contribution to the Love the Geek community. Never ask for personal information or claim ownership of stuff that isn’t yours.

4. Speak out if you notice something.

If you ever see or experience something that appears to be a policy infringement, or if you have any questions about a policy, please contact us at [email protected]. Every report will be reviewed by a member of our staff, who will answer your concerns and assess whether any of our policies have been broken.
We’re here to assist you in understanding our policies and achieving excellence on Love the Geek.

What is the purpose of having restrictions in the first place?

Our guidelines are in place to guarantee that students’ learning experiences are protected and that good, healthy relationships between instructors and students are possible.

There is a three-strike policy and procedure?

You’ll get an email from [email protected]. informing you of the strike, why you got it, and the repercussions. We’ll be careful and fair in determining if a policy violation has occurred, as well as in enforcing sanctions. We urge you to give background information and ask questions. We’re here to assist you, and you’ll have the chance to talk with a member of our staff.

So if you try to access a feature, and you see that it’s been disabled, it’s most likely due to a policy violation.
